How much do you charge per hour?
We don’t charge hourly. Our prices start with a base price (can be found on relevant service pages) and final price is dependant on the service and size of the property. Once we give you a quote, it’s fixed—unless the property is in a condition not mentioned or extra areas/services were missed from the booking.
What are typical costs for a cleaning service in Cardiff?
Most professional cleaning service providers and companies in Cardiff charge between £25-£37+ per hour. At Home Shine Services we charge a fixed rate depending on the service/s and work load. This ensures clear pricing and peace of mind.
Are there any hidden costs?
Nope, we pride ourselves in being completely open with our customers and setting out pricing before starting a job. If for any reason there is an additional cost due to a special request, added service etc. then this would have been discussed with the customer prior to starting.
What extra costs could there be in my clean?
Extra costs will incur when any of our optional add-ons are requested. The costs of these add-ons are always highlighted in our quotes. For example single oven cleaning - £30, steam carpet cleaning - £40/area, upholstery cleaning - £40/item.
What happens if I decide to cancel a booking?
We understand that circumstances can change and schedules can get reshuffled so that is why we honor a 3 day cancellation prior to cleaning date with a full refund given minus your deposit, no questions asked.
Do you provide a clean guarantee?
We are extremely thorough in our cleans with a satisfaction rating of 99% across all our services. However, when an area is missed/not cleaned to standards, we offer a free re-clean for issues reported within 24 hours.
What happens if there’s damage or something is broken?
In the unfortunate event that something is damaged/broken, we will apply a partial refund equal to the damage amount which is covered by our insurer.
Do you guarantee to meet letting agent standards (for deposits)?
Our end of tenancy cleaning service and moving in/out cleaning service is approved by dozens of letting agents across Cardiff. We always guarantee to meet letting agency standards.
Do you provide cleaning supplies and equipment?
Yes, we bring all the necessary cleaning supplies and equipment. If you have any specific preferences or products you’d like us to use, please let us know.
What cleaning services do you offer, and can you customise a clean?
We specialise in moving in/out cleans and end of tenancy cleans. We also offer deep cleans, carpet cleans, upholstery cleans, mattress cleans, oven cleans and mould cleans. Services can be bundled together and cleaning tasks within services can be added or taken away.
Do you use eco-friendly / non-toxic products? Are cleans safe for pets / children?

How does payment work?
Payment (cash/Apple pay/online card payment) is due upon completion of the clean and must be made before our cleaners leave the property. In some cases, we may request a small deposit to secure the booking, particularly for larger jobs or during peak periods.
Are your cleaners insured and background-checked?
Yes, all our cleaners are thoroughly vetted, background-checked, and insured for your peace of mind. They also undergo a rigorous 2 week training programme to ensure their skills are up to scratch before they are sent out to clients.
Do you offer same-day or emergency cleaning in Cardiff?
We operate 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm. We understand that urgent situations can arise, such as last-minute moving, unexpected guests, or accidents that require a quick response. Contact us directly and we’ll do our best to fit you in the same day.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No, you do not need to be home during the cleaning. However, please ensure that our cleaning team has access to your property. If you would like to be present towards the end of the clean, then our team can notify you towards the end of the clean so that you can come and assess their work.
